FOREVER PLAID AUDITION NOTICE:

The Atlanta Lyric Theatre and director Craig A Meyer are seeking Equity and Non-Equity actors as future replacements and covers for their box office hit FOREVER PLAID. [Equity contract TBA] The show is currently being booked in theatres around Georgia, as well as corporate engagements and private functions.

Seeking the following roles:

FRANCIS (Frankie)-Second Tenor
He is the leader of the group. He has the most confidence.

SPARKY-Baritone
The "cut up" of the group. He is always looking for ways to crack jokes.

JINX-First Tenor
The shy one. He is terrified. He doesn't always remember what song comes next or what the next move is

SMUDGE-Bass
He is the worrier. He has a chronic nervous stomach.

All the characters should look between 18 and 35 years of age.

WHERE/WHEN:

Auditions will be held February 19th 7pm at The Lyric Theatre 1705 Commerce Dr Atlanta. Directions are available on the website.

WHAT TO BRING/PREPARE:

The producer requests you dress in slacks and a button down shirt.

Bring a picture and resume (stapled together), and 16 bars of an up tempo song.

Please look over the character breakdown and sides available here. The monologue does not need to be memorized, but be familiar with the material.

The music will be taught at the audition and you will be put into groups of four.

You may audition for more than one role.

You will also learn a basic movement combination.

If you have already been seen for this production and would like to be considered again, please attend this audition.

Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
